College Scholarships
2025 College Scholarships Guidelines
The Meridian Trust North Star Foundation is accepting college scholarship applications from now through Monday, April 14th, 2025 for the 2025-26 school year.
We’ll be awarding four college scholarships in all: the Kim Withers Future Leaders Scholarship in the amount of $3,500; one for $2,000; and two more scholarships at $1,000 each. Each scholarship will be awarded as a check made payable to the applicable institution. No transfer, postponement, or substitution of award is permitted by recipient.
Winners will be notified by Friday, April 18th and announced at the annual meeting on Thursday, May 8th.
How Do I Apply?
Please read our guidelines before applying.

Create a short video (4-6 minutes in length) answering the following question:
What is your biggest dream and how would a scholarship help you achieve it?

Scholarship Application Requirements:
1. Your video submission should be approximately 4-6 minutes in length.
2. Publish your video on YouTube. Please do not tag us or put Meridian Trust North Star Foundation or Scholarship in the name.
3. Fill out the online application and include the link to your video.

Video submission will be scored based on the following:

Quality of response to question (60%)

Creativity value (30%)

Video quality (10%)

Parent/Guardian Consent (if applicant is under the age of 18):
If you are under the age of 18, please have a parent or legal guardian sign and submit the Parent/Guardian Consent form.

Acceptance of a scholarship constitutes permission to use recipients' names, likeness, and video entries for promotional and advertising purposes without further compensation.​

Eligibility
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Applicant must be a member of Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union, attending a university, college, or trade school at any level, including graduate level in the fall of 2025.

Who is Not Eligible to Apply?
Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union employees and their families, non-members, Meridian Trust Board and Supervisory committee members and their families and/or Meridian Trust North Star Foundation Board members and volunteers.​​
